Eurydice is a new compiler project that converts Rust code into readable C code, making it useful for high-assurance software environments where existing verification tools expect C rather than Rust. Developed since 2023 as part of the Aeneas project by researchers from Inria and Microsoft, Eurydice preserves code structure while removing Rust-specific constructs, and has already been used to compile post-quantum cryptography routines. This approach provides a smoother transition path for projects that need to work with C-based tools or environments lacking a Rust compiler.
