Valve P2P networking broken for more than 2 months
Valve's P2P networking has been experiencing major issues in Israel and possibly other Middle Eastern countries since mid-March 2026, causing abnormally high ping times (around 120ms) for players using Steam Networking in games like Street Fighter 6, while the same players experience normal latency (5-10ms) with non-Steam P2P connections. Multiple Israeli players across different ISPs have reported the problem, which does not affect games using alternative P2P systems, and support attempts through both game publishers and Steam have been unsuccessful.
