RISCBoy is an open-source portable gaming console designed from scratch, featuring a RISC-V compatible CPU, graphics pipeline, and PCB layout implemented in synthesizable Verilog. The project is designed to fit onto an iCE40-HX8k FPGA and is conceptualized as a Game Boy Advance from an alternate universe where RISC-V technology existed in 2001. The processor supports the RV32IMC instruction set, passes RISC-V compliance testing, and includes features like M-mode CSRs and vectored external interrupts.
