Node.js 26.0.0 (Now with Temporal)
Node.js 26.0.0 has been released with the Temporal API now enabled by default, providing a modern alternative to the legacy Date object for handling dates and times. The release also includes updates to the V8 JavaScript engine (version 14.6) and Undici HTTP client (version 8.0), along with several deprecations and removals of legacy modules as part of the platform's modernization. Node.js 26 will remain the "Current" release for six months before transitioning to long-term support (LTS) in October.
