Playing with the STM32MP2

ST Microelectronics released the STM32MP2, a new applications processor SoC featuring dual Cortex-A35 cores and a 5 Gbps SERDES with PIPE interface that addresses the author's long-standing challenge of efficiently connecting microcontrollers to FPGAs without requiring dozens of poorly-distributed pins. The author had delayed publishing this review due to discovering a silicon bug with security implications that required ST's advisory before public disclosure.
