MacSurf 1.68 – NetSurf on OS 9 Released

MacSurf 1.68, a native web browser for Classic Mac OS 9, has been released with major improvements including a new JavaScript engine (macQJS) that executes modern ES2023 code natively on PowerPC Macs with full HTTPS/TLS 1.3 support. The update replaces the older ES5-only Duktape engine and fixes fundamental usability issues like text cursor visibility in input fields. The release is named after 68kmla.org, the retro Mac community whose feedback and testing drove much of the development.
