HashiCorp archives the Boundary open source repo

HashiCorp has archived the Boundary Community Edition (CE) open source repository as of October 8, 2026, ending active development and halting all new releases, maintenance updates, and security patches. The company is shifting focus to HCP Boundary and Boundary Enterprise for future development, positioning these as the supported solutions for production-scale access management. Existing source code and binaries remain available for reference, but the repository is now read-only and no longer accepts contributions.
