FBI Probes Service Selling 153M+ Drivers Licenses

A new dark web identity theft service called Nexus is selling digital scans of over 153 million drivers licenses from the United States and Canada, allegedly obtained from a breach at a Louisiana-based identity verification company. The FBI's New Orleans field office has launched an investigation into the source of the images, which include licenses belonging to high-ranking government officials including U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. The service also offers millions of other identity documents including identification cards, travel documents, and government access cards.
