Danish Government silently drops plan to dump MS Office

Denmark's Ministry of Digitalization has quietly abandoned a pilot project testing Collabora, an open-source alternative to Microsoft Office, which had begun in summer 2025 with approximately 40 employees. The project, which aimed to reduce the government's reliance on Microsoft software, has been discontinued without public announcement, and the ministry continues using Microsoft Office as its standard platform.
