EmDash uses Clef to moderate the plugin registry

EmDash implemented Cloudflare's Clef decision model to automatically moderate its plugin registry, screening listings for phishing, scams, offensive content, and manipulation attempts before they appear in the catalog. Clef evaluates both text metadata and images using a single multimodal model, asking nine questions about text/links and eight about visual assets, with results flagged for human review if confidence exceeds 0.45. The model outperformed EmDash's previous multi-model approach in both accuracy and speed, maintaining an open publishing model on AT Protocol while preventing catalog abuse.
