Strands Decider 2B: a small, open-source, decision model

Strands Labs has released Strands Decider 2B, a small open-source decision model designed to quickly choose between predefined options and assign reliability scores, making it ideal for agentic AI workflows. Unlike large language models that generate arbitrary text, this 2-billion-parameter model excels at fast, low-latency decisions with high accuracy but cannot handle complex reasoning or text generation tasks. The model is available open-source on GitHub with full training data and scripts included.
