Mistral Large 4: "Le Chonk"

Mistral has launched Mistral Large 4 (ML4), a 1 trillion-parameter multimodal model with 49 billion active parameters that demonstrates state-of-the-art performance in coding, cybersecurity, finance, and legal applications, outperforming other open-weight models globally. Trained on Mistral's own European infrastructure using 3,800 NVIDIA GPUs, the model will be released as open weights by the end of the month and is available for preview access on Mistral Studio today. The company emphasizes ML4's importance for cybersecurity and AI sovereignty, as it enables organizations to deploy and run advanced security capabilities independently under their own policies.
