As generative AI becomes increasingly capable of creating art, a "human premium" is emerging where people value artwork created by humans, even if they cannot distinguish it from AI-generated content. The music platform Deezer reports that 44% of tracks uploaded to it are AI-generated, yet 97% of listeners cannot tell the difference, raising questions about whether consumers ultimately care about the human element in creative work.
