Valve open source the Steam Machine e-ink screen so you can make your own

Valve has open-sourced the e-ink display design for the Steam Machine under the MIT license, allowing anyone to build their own "Inkterface" using readily available components like an ESP32 microcontroller and e-ink panel. While Valve will not manufacture the displays themselves, the complete specifications and assembly instructions are available on their GitLab, and accessory manufacturers like JSAUX have already announced plans to produce pre-built versions.
