The Trump administration has announced new sanctions against the International Criminal Court's president and a senior lawyer, escalating its campaign to "dismantle" the court. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused the ICC of being "corrupt and fatally politicized" and sanctioned the officials for prosecuting cases involving countries that haven't consented to ICC jurisdiction. This marks at least the 12th set of sanctions the administration has imposed on ICC officials in retaliation for investigations into US personnel and warrants issued against Israeli officials.
