TerraPower in Deal with Meta for Eight Natrium 345 MW Advanced Nuclear Plants
TerraPower and Meta announced an agreement to develop up to eight Natrium advanced nuclear reactors, each producing 345 MW of baseload power with integrated energy storage, to power Meta's data centers with delivery beginning as early as 2032. This represents Meta's largest support of advanced nuclear technology to date and its first direct investment in a new nuclear build, with the eight reactors expected to provide up to 2.8 GW of carbon-free energy. TerraPower's CEO stated the company has completed its design, established its supply chain, and cleared key regulatory milestones to support this historic multi-unit delivery agreement.
