This worldview justifies bypassing democratic constraints in favor of rule by visionary elites like themselves, as evidenced by Thiel's funding of anti-democratic thinkers, his support for JD Vance, and his opposition to voting rights. The tech industry's reactionary politics, rooted in figures like George Gilder who promoted male-centered entrepreneurialism, has evolved into a quasi-fascistic techno-optimism that treats democracy as incompatible with civilization's advancement.
