SOML – A Config Format for Humans

SOML (Sindre's Objectively Marvelous Language) is a new configuration format designed to be human-friendly while maintaining the strictness of JSON. It eliminates unnecessary syntax like quotes around keys, braces at the top level, and commas, while adding support for comments, native date/time/duration types, and block strings. Unlike YAML, SOML determines value types from syntax rather than content, eliminating ambiguity and ensuring consistent parsing across implementations.
