Silurus/ooxml: Pixel-faithful Office documents, rendered in the browser
Silurus/ooxml is a browser-based viewer for Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) that renders pixel-faithfully to match the original applications, with its entire codebase written by AI coding agents rather than humans. The project addresses a decade-long gap in free, open-source Office libraries by leveraging generative AI for spec-compliant implementation, and it already exceeds the rendering quality of some commercial libraries and Microsoft 365 web apps. The viewer is intentionally read-only to avoid file corruption risks and is available as an npm package with WebAssembly parsers and Canvas 2D rendering.
