Cast is an open-source, self-hosted framework that manages multi-user, multi-agent systems by enforcing access control through configuration rather than agent prompts, preventing models from circumventing security rules. Users can build agents through a chat-based dashboard interface or Claude Code, configure permissions for different users across Slack, Telegram, or web platforms, and run everything locally on minimal hardware like a Mac Mini.
