A forthcoming space survival game called SEEDS features a built-in 64-bit RISC-V virtual machine running an unmodified Linux kernel, allowing players to run custom programs and play games on in-game computers. The game, arriving in Early Access in Q4 2026, combines sandbox terraforming mechanics with story exploration, where players reshape a desolate planet, build ecosystems, construct machines, and interact with alien civilizations. The embedded Linux environment will eventually enable players to automate and influence their sandbox world through programming.
