Observal is an open-source, self-hosted registry and analytics platform designed to serve as a control plane for internal AI components like agents, skills, and MCP servers. It addresses the problem of poor discoverability and underutilization of AI components within organizations by providing a centralized system where developers can find, document, and track usage of existing AI tools instead of duplicating efforts. The project aims to improve adoption of internal AI components and provide visibility into how they are being used across an organization.
