Show HN: A desktop fly drawn to the scent of vibecode
A developer created a macOS desktop application featuring a 3D fruit fly animated by a simulated neural circuit based on the real FlyWire connectome, containing 668 neurons with ~19,000 synaptic connections. The fly can walk, groom, sleep, and flee from the cursor using the same neurons a real fly would use, and in this fork it can also detect "vibecode" markers in your codebase, treating open projects and code repositories as scent sources it's drawn toward. The simulation uses real neuron positions and connectivity data from FlyWire v783, with escape behavior triggered naturally by looming visual input rather than scripted responses.
