RepRapMicron
The μRepRap is an open-source RepRap 3D printer designed to achieve micron-level precision using common, accessible materials, aimed at democratizing micro-fabrication similar to how RepRap brought 3D printing to the masses. The PIKA version currently achieves repeatable positioning of approximately 1μm with reliable 10μm accuracy over an 8mm cubic volume and can deposit UV resin droplets as small as 4μm, demonstrating successful proof-of-concept for micron-scale fabrication. The project's ultimate goal is to develop techniques for creating similar micro-fabrication systems at the micron scale itself, with applications in microelectronics and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS).
