ReactOS, an open-source operating system designed for Windows binary compatibility, has achieved the milestone of running the classic game Half-Life with 3D acceleration on real hardware after 28 years of development. A ReactOS user successfully ran Half-Life on a Dell OptiPlex with a Core i5 2400 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS graphics, marking the first confirmed report of the game functioning in-game on the platform.
