PostgresBench: A Reproducible Benchmark for Postgres Services

PostgresBench is a new public, reproducible benchmark tool designed to compare managed Postgres services using the standard pgbench workload with consistent testing parameters across providers. Built by ClickHouse following the methodology of their successful ClickBench OLAP benchmark, it tests transactional workloads with 256 concurrent clients across two dataset sizes (100 GB and 500 GB) and publishes all configurations, queries, and results for transparency and validation. The benchmark measures throughput (TPS), average latency, and P95/P99 latency to help fairly evaluate how different managed Postgres services handle realistic production transactional patterns.
