Ordinary WiFi can now identify you with near-perfect accuracy

Researchers at Germany's Karlsruhe Institute of Technology have demonstrated that ordinary WiFi networks can identify individuals with nearly 100% accuracy by analyzing radio wave patterns, without requiring cameras or connected devices. The technology works by creating radio-based images from unencrypted signals already exchanged between WiFi devices and routers, potentially turning widespread wireless networks into invisible surveillance tools. This poses significant privacy risks in homes, offices, and public spaces, as people could be identified and tracked without their knowledge or consent.
