Nvidia to Acquire Hugging Face

Nvidia has agreed to acquire Hugging Face, a major open-source AI platform, for approximately $12.93 billion. The acquisition aims to scale Hugging Face's infrastructure and expand AI access globally, while maintaining the platform's commitment to supporting open-source models across multiple frameworks, clouds, and hardware providers. Hugging Face, which serves 18 million developers and 200,000 companies, will remain open to the entire AI ecosystem with no requirement to use Nvidia compute.
