MXC - a sandboxed code execution system
MXC (Microsoft eXecution Container) is a sandboxed code execution system that safely runs untrusted code such as model outputs, plugins, and tools across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms. It offers multiple containment backends ranging from OS-native process sandboxes to full virtual machines, unified through a single containment model with typed SDKs for Rust, .NET, and Node. The system uses policy-driven sandboxing to control filesystem access, network connectivity, and UI interactions while managing container lifecycles from provisioning through deprovisioning.
