Kimi K3 Is Competitive with Fable; Kimi K3 and Fable Is SoTA

Kimi announced its Series D funding and $1B ARR, introducing K3, an open-source model that matches the performance of Fable (a closed model) while being up to 50x more cost-effective on complex tasks. By routing tasks between K3 and Fable based on their respective strengths across different work types, the company achieved 93% accuracy with significantly lower costs across approximately 1,000 agentic tasks tested.
