Iroh 1.0
Iroh, a networking technology that uses cryptographic keys instead of IP addresses to establish secure connections between devices, has reached version 1.0 after over four years of development. The protocol enables direct device-to-device communication regardless of location or network conditions, and is already deployed across millions of devices with 200 million endpoints created in the last month alone. Version 1.0 introduces stable APIs, support for multiple programming languages (Python, Node.js, Swift, Kotlin), and guarantees wire protocol compatibility across future minor updates.
