I turned my security cameras into an automatic bird identification system

A homeowner converted existing security cameras into an automatic bird identification system using BirdNet-Go, an AI tool that runs locally to detect and identify birds by their songs in real-time without cloud services. The system can detect over 14,000 bird species, set up alerts for specific birds, track new species visiting the yard, and optionally share data with the BirdWeather community platform for research purposes.
