I Changed My License

Over a 28-year career, the author shifted his software licensing strategy from LGPLv2 to MIT to now EUPL-1.2, motivated by the belief that permissive open-source licenses primarily benefited large corporations rather than users and developers. EUPL-1.2, a strong copyleft license approved by the EU that closes the "SaaS loophole" and includes official translations in 23 languages, represents his commitment to ensuring reciprocal licensing terms regardless of how software is distributed.
