I automated opt-outs for 500 data broker sites (open source)
A developer created an open-source tool that automatically removes personal information from 500+ data broker and people-search websites on a monthly schedule, handling CAPTCHAs, tracking completion status, and sending notifications. The tool, called auto-identity-remove, runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows, and includes additional features like exposure scoring, CCPA/GDPR request submission, breach monitoring, and a web dashboard for management. Users can install it via Node.js and schedule it to continuously scrub their data from data broker databases with minimal manual intervention.
