Gitbook Breached
GitBook experienced a security breach on November 2 when attackers used AI agents to gain unauthorized access to infrastructure credentials, prompting the company to take services offline as a precaution. The attackers may have accessed Git Sync secrets, API tokens, and questions asked to GitBook Assistant, but there is no evidence that user content was modified. GitBook has since restored services, revoked all API tokens, and is urging users to rotate their credentials and re-authenticate integrations.
