France's Anssi Will Block PQC-Free Products from Certification Starting 2027

France's cybersecurity agency ANSSI will stop certifying security products lacking quantum-resistant encryption starting in 2027, with businesses expected to transition to quantum-safe products by 2030. This decision, announced at the France Quantum 2026 conference, restricts access to one of Europe's largest government technology markets and reflects growing concern about "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" attacks where adversaries intercept encrypted data today to decrypt it once quantum computers become available.
