Evidence of Fraud in an Influential Study About Procrastination

A replication study published in Psychological Science failed to reproduce results from a highly influential 2002 paper on procrastination by Ariely and Wertenbroch, which has been cited over 2,100 times and assigned in numerous courses. Upon analyzing the original data files, researchers concluded that the data in Studies 1 and 2 of the original paper were tampered with, though they note readers can review the evidence and draw their own conclusions.
