DuckDB 2.0.0 LTS "Cinnamon Teal"

DuckDB has released version 2.0.0 LTS ("Cinnamon Teal"), a major feature release built from close to 20,000 commits that introduces a polished Quack protocol for client-server setup, asynchronous I/O, a VARIANT data type, agent mode, triggers, and an extensible SQL parser. The LTS version will receive support until October 2027, with previous LTS versions 1.4 and 1.5 also extended through late 2026 and March 2027 respectively. Various client libraries and extensions are rolling out over the coming days.
