Count Binface, a satirical election candidate, received nearly 10,000 votes (26.9%) in the Clacton by-election, his strongest performance to date, though he lost to Reform UK leader Nigel Farage who won 63.3% of the vote. The character, performed by comedian Jon Harvey, has become a fixture in UK elections, previously challenging three prime ministers and one future prime minister in earlier races. Binface's candidacy in Clacton was notable as other major parties boycotted the election following Farage's resignation and immediate re-candidacy.
