Building a UMatrix Replacement

The author describes building a uMatrix replacement extension for Chrome, as the original uMatrix tool for controlling website permissions and subresource requests was deprecated. Since uMatrix's successor uBO Lite removed key features under Chrome's new Manifest V3 extension rules, the author proposes using declarativeNetRequest combined with Content Security Policy and browser violation reports to recreate uMatrix functionality, and has released a prototype called matrix³ seeking community feedback and contributions.
