A Trillion Characters

"Trillion Characters" is a real-time collaborative typing experiment built with Datastar, a lightweight JavaScript framework that moves all logic to the backend and streams HTML updates to clients via server-sent events. The application uses advanced techniques including CQRS architecture, chunk-based storage with compression, and DOM-morphing to efficiently handle multiple users typing simultaneously while achieving compression ratios of 50-4000x, all running on a €5.52 VPS.
