Aptera announced a $44 million partnership with Launch Design to manufacture its solar-powered electric vehicle, addressing key production challenges. The deal allows Aptera to leverage Launch's existing manufacturing facilities and supply chain for cost-effective mass production while maintaining final assembly in Carlsbad, eliminating the need for massive in-house production infrastructure that has drained competitors like Lucid and Rivian.
