ZuckOff Is a Free App That Sees Meta Glasses Before They See You

ZuckOff, a free Bluetooth detection app created by Polish developer Pawel Szydlowski, allows users to identify smart glasses nearby by detecting their unique Bluetooth signals, addressing growing privacy concerns about unsolicited recording. The app cannot determine if glasses are actively recording or identify the wearer, but it makes an otherwise invisible threat partially visible by revealing proximity information. With roughly seven million Meta smart glasses sold in 2025 and their recording indicator lights easily defeated with tape, ZuckOff provides a temporary solution until stronger regulations are implemented.
