Yserver: A modern X11 server written in Rust
Yserver is a modern X11 server written in Rust from scratch, designed to run real desktop environments and applications on Linux while eliminating legacy features that X.org carries. The project has reached functional status, successfully running full MATE/XFCE/Cinnamon desktops and supporting numerous X11 extensions including Composite, DRI3, GLX, RANDR, and others. Recent improvements include Present completion pacing, keyboard layout switching, GLX pbuffer support, and extensive input device handling across multiple graphics drivers.
