You Rename My Lake – I Move My Hosting

Olaf Alders moved his hosting service PrettyGoodPing from DigitalOcean in the U.S. to Hetzner in the E.U., motivated partly by cost but also by a desire to reduce dependence on U.S.-based tech companies. He is also working to de-Google his services and is moving MetaCPAN's hosting as well, aiming to minimize his reliance on major tech corporations despite recognizing his individual impact is limited.
