World Labs Is Joining AMD

World Labs has agreed to join AMD to accelerate AI research focused on spatial and physical world applications. Dr. Fei-Fei Li will become AMD's Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist, while the World Labs team will integrate with AMD to build an open AI ecosystem spanning hardware, software, and models. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
