Why is Inkwell stuck in review
An iOS app called Inkwell has been stuck in Apple's App Review process since April 21st, facing multiple rejections across various guideline violations including content reporting features, Sign in with Apple functionality, in-app purchase requirements, and design issues. The most persistent obstacle is Apple's objection to the app's name, citing a decades-old, officially "dead" Apple trademark from a 2002 handwriting-recognition feature, despite the same name being used by other apps in the App Store. The developer has appealed to Apple's review board and questions whether Apple is overextending its control over app distribution beyond legal trademark protections.
