Want to Rent an Internet Address at the White House?

White House staffers are using computers equipped with residential proxy services that allow others to rent their internet addresses, according to security experts who detected the activity between October and November. One of the proxy services involved is run by a Russian founder whose previous hosting company was used in 2016 cyberattacks against election systems in Arizona and Illinois. Security researchers found that at least 28 residential proxy services were able to access and exit through the White House network during this period.
