Volkswagen has blocked Home Assistant's Volkswagencarnet integration by requiring client assertion authentication, preventing users from logging in through the integration while the official VW Android app and web portal continue to work normally. The company disabled requests using the previous authentication parameters (response_type=code token id_token), making it impossible for the integration to obtain necessary access tokens. The developers have acknowledged the issue and are working on a solution.
