US fired over 600 missile interceptors defending Israel in three years

From October 2023 through September 2026, the United States fired approximately 609 ballistic missile interceptors to defend Israeli territory, costing $11 billion. The majority of these were high-altitude SM-3 and THAAD interceptors, with estimates suggesting the US fired 1.5 to 2 interceptors for every one Israel fired in its own defense.
